Terms of Service

This is a legal contract between you and AI Leverage Academy ("we," "us," or "AILA"), the operator of The Compass Pro (the "Service"). Please read carefully. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms in full.

1. Who can use the Service

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.
• You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way consistent with these Terms.
• One account per person unless we explicitly authorize a team or agency account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

2. What the Service does

The Compass Pro is a subscription software product that helps you build income-generating content and systems. It includes:

• The Compass — AI-generated 90-day roadmap, weekly coach, chat, pipeline tracker, reflections
• The Studio — AI content generator trained on your voice samples (paid tier)
• The Foundry — AI agent blueprint generator (paid tier)

The Service uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic Claude). AI outputs are generated in response to your prompts and inputs.

3. Subscriptions, billing, trial

• Trial: New accounts get 7 days of full access with no card required. If you don't subscribe by day 8, access reverts to the free tier.
• Billing: Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Current prices are shown on the pricing page. You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation.
• Refunds: We do not issue refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access until the period ends. Exceptions: we may offer refunds where required by law, or at our sole discretion for specific guarantee claims (see Section 4).
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Price changes never affect a locked founding-member rate for as long as your subscription remains uninterrupted.
• Failed payments: If your payment method fails, we will retry for up to 7 days. If payment still fails, your account moves to "past due" and access is limited.

4. Our guarantees

We make specific, measurable guarantees for The Compass Pro (see marketing pages for current guarantees). To claim a guarantee:

• You must have completed the specified minimum usage (e.g., generated the specified number of pieces during the guarantee window).
• You must submit your claim by email to hello@aileverageacademy.org within the guarantee window stated in the offer.
• We may request evidence of usage before issuing a refund.
• Refunds under a guarantee are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of approval.

Beyond specific guarantees, the Service is provided "as is" — see Section 11.

5. Your content and inputs

"Your Content" means everything you upload, type, dictate, or otherwise provide to the Service — including voice samples, quiz answers, chat messages, file uploads, URLs, and generated outputs you save.

• You retain ownership of Your Content.
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process Your Content solely to operate the Service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate outputs).
• You warrant that Your Content does not infringe any third party's rights. You represent you have the legal right to use, upload, and process all Your Content — including any voice samples, writings, images, or URLs you provide.
• You must not upload content that belongs to someone else unless you have explicit written permission or a valid license.

6. AI-generated outputs

Outputs generated by the Service ("Outputs") are provided to you for your own use. Some important limitations you must understand:

• You own the Outputs subject to third-party rights — but under current US copyright law, purely AI-generated content is generally not eligible for copyright protection without substantial human authorship. If you want to protect Outputs, add meaningful human editing before publishing.
• Outputs may not be unique. Two users with similar inputs may receive similar Outputs. We do not guarantee originality.
• Outputs may be inaccurate. AI can produce false, misleading, or hallucinated information. You are responsible for reviewing every Output before publishing or acting on it.
• Outputs are not professional advice. Nothing generated by the Service constitutes financial, legal, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Consult a licensed professional for decisions that matter.
• Disclosure obligations. If applicable law or the platform where you publish Outputs requires disclosure that content is AI-generated or AI-assisted, YOU are responsible for making that disclosure.

7. Prohibited uses

You must NOT use the Service to:

• Impersonate another person or entity, or create content designed to deceive readers about who wrote it or who is speaking
• Generate voice clones, writing mimicry, or likeness-based content of any real person without their explicit written consent
• Create fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content (including phishing, scams, fake reviews, fake testimonials, false product claims)
• Generate content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity rights, or any other third-party right
• Generate content that harasses, threatens, defames, or discriminates against any person or group
• Generate sexually explicit content involving real people, minors (real or depicted), or non-consensual scenarios
• Generate content promoting illegal activity, weapons, self-harm, or violence
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or build a competing product using our Service
• Attempt to circumvent security controls, rate limits, tier restrictions, or usage caps
• Share your login with others or provide access to multiple users on a single account (unless on a team tier)
• Interfere with the Service's operation or with other users' use of the Service

Violating this section allows us to suspend or terminate your account immediately without refund. We may report serious violations to law enforcement.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, including Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Render (hosting), Google (email delivery via SMTP), and Sentry (error monitoring). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their handling of your data. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, but we work to restore service quickly.

9. Termination

• You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting account deletion.
• We may terminate your account with 30 days' notice for any reason, or immediately without notice if you materially breach these Terms.
• Effect of termination: Your access ends. We keep your data for up to 30 days in case of accidental cancellation, then permanently delete it (except records we are legally required to retain, e.g., financial records for tax purposes).

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including the software, design, UI, prompts, and templates, is owned by AI Leverage Academy and protected by copyright and other IP laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself (as distinct from Your Content and Outputs).

11. Warranty disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, USEFUL, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSES.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI LEVERAGE ACADEMY AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AI Leverage Academy, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claim, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of Outputs; (c) your breach of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third-party right.

14. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to hello@aileverageacademy.org with:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
• Identification of the material claimed to be infringing (with enough detail for us to locate it)
• Your contact information
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act

We will respond to valid DMCA notices and may remove infringing content. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

15. Modifications to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

16. Governing law and disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
• Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved by good-faith negotiation between you and us (email hello@aileverageacademy.org).
• If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Travis County, Texas, under the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Rules. Each party pays its own costs unless the arbitrator orders otherwise.
• You waive the right to participate in a class action against us.
• Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for IP violations.

17. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Force majeure: Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, pandemic, internet outages, etc.).
